| Beau
wanted a one piece door that would lift from the bottom
remotely. |
| So
we welded the back door together and gutted it to take the
weight out. We have tached a piece of sheet metal to
help stablize the two pieces. |
| We
ground the welds down.
| We
welded in some bracing in the bottom of the door after
removing all the heavy stuff. |
| Here
it is welded together rear handle hole welded up. We
were also able to maintain the original upper hinge which
helped. |
| We
fabricated a hole in the floor for the actuators to pass
through. |
| Tim
fabricated a piece to smooth off the back of the trunk
area. |
| The
actuator is poking through the hole we fabricated. |
| This
is a look at the bottom side where the actuator is going
to be mounted. |
