the late model powerplant Randy brought for us to put in
the new chassis. |

frame rails are mounted in the jig. |

| Here's
all the parts laid out. This '40 will ride on a Heidt's independent
front end and Posies rear springs. |
|
|
|
| The
front crossmember and the hats are laid out and ready to
be installed in the frame. |
|
|
|
| The
Heidt's front suspension is now installed on Randy's
frame. |
|
|
|
| The
rear leaf springs have also been installed. The next step
will be to install the rear end, the center tubular
crossmember and the rear shock crossmember. |
|
|
|
| The
body has been bolted down to the chassis and the firewall
has now been removed. |
|
|
|
| Here
you can see the bracing we installed to hold the body in
it's original form to remove the firewall. |
|
|
|
| The
new firewall has been tacked in place and the Ford
powerplant is lowered between the frame rails. |
