To make this work, the firewall will need to be set back. We cut out the area of the firewall we'll need to modify.

The big block dummy motor is set back into the frame.

Now that we have the placement, the motor mounts and transmission mount are welded in.

Now we need to fix the firewall. We start by building a pocket to clear the distributor.

Then we mold it into the firewall.

We clamp the firewall in where it needs to be.

And start glassing it in.

The dummy motor is re-installed and we're mocking up the radiator and grille shell.

To position the radiator where we need it, we notched the front of the frame.

The grille shell and radiator are installed and we start fitting the hood. In a case like this, we have to split the hood in several places and piece it together.
