Construction Pictorial

Mr. Cox wanted long tube headers so we put the old exhaust manifolds on so we cut off the original headers and just keep the flange to build off of because they do not make long tube headers that would fit.

We did the same mock up process on the other side.

exhaust manifold are off and ready to start being made into long tube headers.

We cut the flanges off the manifold to give the headers a good base to start with.

Ovals are put in the tubes so they will fit tightly inside the flanges.

Exhaust flanges have to be cut and ground smooth to ensure a precise fit of the tubes.

Tubes are ready to be put in the new flanges.

The tubes are in place and welded together.

The flanges were clamped down to the table to ensure minimal warping.

Time to start the mock up after the headers have been tact welded together.
