| A complete tubular frame houses a polished LS1
backed up by a complete
Corvette suspension including the torque tube with the
transmission in the rear. |
| Here's
a nice view of the Corvette front suspension and the polished LS1. |
| Here's
the dash before we started on it. |
| We
purchased a dash insert from Genuine Hot Rod Parts. As you
can see from the picture, it's a bit wide and the dash
will require some minor surgery to make it fit. |
| Surgery
completed. We cut the dash and moved the edges outward. |
| Now
the dash insert will fit nicely. |
| Here's
a cool thing. Classic Instruments will paint your gauges
any color you want or design a gauge to your
specifications. So since this car will have some purple
ghost flames and the interior will have a purple theme,
this is what we came up with. |
| Jonathan
shows us what the dash insert looks like with the gauges
installed. |
| Here's
a picture looking through the rear window of the dash in
the car. The ends have been re-glassed and the holes for
the gauges have been cut. |
