| First
we fabricate a tunnel from poster board. |

| The
templates are then transferred to the metal and
the tunnel is rolled to the correct contour to
match the firewall. |
|
|
|
|
| To
find the hole for the shifter, tape lines are
run across the floor of the car and down the
side of the frame. The body is then removed and
the tape is left on the frame. We can then
measure to the exact center of the
shifter. |
|
|
|
|
| Now
that the hole is cut, we can finish making the
rest of the pieces to finish the tunnel
installation. |
|
|
|
|
| Here's
the tunnel all welded up before installing it in
the body. |
|
|
|
|
| With
the tunnel in place, the shifter is perfectly
centered in the hole. |
