| After
grinding the welds, the hood fits the grille shell. |
| To
make a good transition for the hood sides, we cut a
section out of the body. We want the hood sides to be up
next to the frame and eliminate the use of the inner
fenders. |
| This
picture gives you a better idea of where we're going with
this. Now you can see the body line coming down from the
cowl where the hood sides will be. |
| Here's
what it looks like when finished. |
| To
build the hood sides, we first started with a cardboard
pattern and then transferred it to metal. |
| We
rolled the bead in the bottom of the hood side and started
the fitting process. |
| Here
you can see how we rolled it under the grille shell. |
| And
a look with the hood on. |
| Where
the hood sides wrap around the grille shell, we made a
finishing panel under the shell. |
