The
next step for the body will be to sand and buff the clear
coat.
Here
it is rolled out in the sun.
With
the body out of the paint booth, the doors will be next.
The
clear coat is applied to the doors. Now we'll need to wet
sand the body and the doors and buff them out.
The
hood and grille shell are painted.
Juan's
sanding the trunk lid so we can buff it out after
clearcoating.
The
doors are being sanded prior to buffing. These steps are
necessary to "bury" the flames. First the
flames, then clearcoat. Then the door is sanded to remove
the lines, then clearcoated and buffed again.
The
chassis is on the lift so we can put the brake lines on.
Juan
drills the holes for the thru frame fittings.
The
body is untaped after buffing and ready to be set on the
chassis.
