Now
here's something you don't see every day. Joe's
'33 will have retractable headlights! Larry
shows us the assembly.
Our
dummy engine is installed along with the engine
brackets so we can make the necessary brackets
for the retractable headlights. Installing the
accessories and brackets makes sure everything
will fit.
It's
going to be a tight fit in there!
Here's

the shock mounts.

shot gives a good view of the bracket that holds
the retractable headlights.
The
motor that will operate the headlights is
installed under the dash.
Larry
ran the cables through aluminum tubing to
protect the cables and allow for a neater
installation.

To
clear the distributor and the engine, the
firewall had to be notched.
