The new metal is installed up to the front floor.
Back on the door now, the new pieces are clamped in place for welding.
The replacement panel is fitted to the bottom of the door.
Clecos are used to attach the panel.
The new metal is spot welded in.
The wheels are on the chassis and we're ready to fit the engine and transmission.
We had to modify the rear of the center crossmember to clear the manual transmission.
The body is set back down on the chassis and the floor is installed up to the transmission tunnel.
The first piece of the tunnel is being fitted.
The rust behind the passenger door has been cut out.
The rusty inner metal is cut out and the area is ground and ready for welding.
New metal is tacked in place and split to make the transition to the door jamb.
Welded and ground down.
More rust is being cut away from the wheel well.
More rust hides behind the outer metal.
The rust is cut out and new metal is welded in.
We repaired some more rust on the driver side in front of the wheel well.
And a small spot inside the wheel well.
Some cracking and pits on the rear.
There's a hole on the passenger side just behind the door jamb.
We welded it up and smoothed it out.
We removed a section of rust at the bottom and repeated the same on the driver's side.
