The hinge mounting area is cracked and rusted.

The rusted metal is cut away from the door.
The rust is cleaned up and ready for the new metal.
New metal is tacked in place.
The hinge area is repaired and the hinge reinstalled.
The area around the hinge is rusted as well. We'll need to cut this out and replace it.
The upper hinge needs some reworking as well.
More repair work is needed on this hinge.

The finishing work begins where we welded in the new metal.
The hinge area is being smoothed.

Over in the paint booth, the primer is sprayed on the driver's door.
After primering, the door is returned to the body shop and the primer is smoothed.
The passenger side door is being readied for paint.
The driver's door is hung back on the truck. We mask off around the door area and scuff the paint in front of and just behind the door to make a good paint blend to match the truck.
The passenger side door is hung and taped off as well.
Before we proceed, some more repairs are needed. This time in the door jamb. The rust around the hinges needs to be cut out and repaired.
