Unpacked the PRO-G Front Suspension from HEIDTS!
Jaysun cut the shock towers out w/a plasma cutter. We varied from the instructions a little. We didn't cut the towers from the inside out because we're going to fabricate new inner fender wells.
Sparks are a flyin!
Here's what the shock tower looks like when it is removed.
Jaysun has removed the motor mounts and now is using a air chisel to remove the remains spot welds.
We ground smooth and welded up some of the imperfections in the frame.
Welding in the first part of the boxing plates per instructions.
Clamping down the bottom side boxing plate.
A look from the inside.
All the boxing plates are completely welded in and ground smooth.
Getting ready to mark the crossmember placement.
The marks have been established.....
...and the crossmember has been slipped into place.
After lining up the first crossmember the second crossmember was mounted into place.
After tacking in the crossmembers the Rack and Pinion is bolted in to place.
Upper A Arm is bolted in.
Upper and lower A Arms on both sides have been installed.
A HEIDTS 2" drop spindle has been installed.
Shocks and springs.
Front end is installed and ready for the brakes.
