Meanwhile, over at the body shop, we remove the '34's humps from the firewall.
With both humps removed, it's time to glass them up and smooth them out.
The holes have been glassed over.
The finish work is underway.
The front suspension is installed and we put the body back on. Now it's time to set it up for the engine and transmission mounts.
Under the back is the Currie rear housing.
To make this work, the firewall will need to be set back. We cut out the area of the firewall that we'll need to modify.
The big block dummy motor is set back into the frame.
Now that we have the placement, the motor mounts and transmission mount are welded in.
Now we need to fix the firewall. We start by building a pocket to clear the distributor.
Then we mold it into the firewall.
We clamp the firewall in where it needs to be.
And start glassing it in.
