These direct fit kits will work in a '70-72
Chevelle SS, '70-72 El Camino SS '70-'72 Monte Carlo SS, or any '70-72
Chevelle, El Camino, Monte Carlo using a factory SS style dash. The Classic
Instrument
cluster consists of 3 - 3 inch gauges, a speedometer, tachometer and
quad mounted in a reproduction dash carrier, with low step black
bezels.. Included in the kit are a wiring harness, sending units
(excluding fuel), installation manual, and hardware to mount the kit
into the dash. Dash panel and plastic lens are not included. Glass for
the gauges is not included, the original factory or reproduction lens
serves as protection for the gauges. Package includes high beam, turn
signal indicators, 3 "dummy" gauge panels on the sides- to
fill the holes and look good. Dip switches on the speedometer are
difficult to reach once the gauges are installed so the purchase of a
SN74 (signal interface) or SN81 (Sky Drive) is recommended to make the
speedometer calibration easier. The senders are standard as SNGMNF
(Sender GM, no Fuel). Fuel gauge is calibrated to match the factory
sender (0-90ohm).
