Steering Columns and Accessories for
'64 - '65 Chevelle/El Camino
Tilt steering columns include all
the levers and knobs. They are completely wired for
self-canceling turn signals, 4-way flashers and horn. A neutral
safety switch is included with a column shift column. An
indicator is not included. You will need to purchase a wiring
adapter to plug into your original wiring harness. The original
under dash mounting hardware will be used as well as the
original floor mount. The steering column will attach to an
intermediate shaft with a u-joint. The intermediate shaft will
attach to the gearbox with a rag joint. The original shaft can
be cut and made into a DD.The original shaft and
rag joint can be used, however a new shaft and rag joint are
recommended. A stock GM steering wheel from a 1969 or newer
passenger car will bolt to the top of the column. Most
aftermarket wheels will attach to the top of the column with an
adapter.
