Here's how we ran the battery cables through the frame. We used an electrician's fishtape and pulled the cables through the frame.
Eric's been busy dressing up the engine with valve covers and brackets.
This chassis is almost completed. We'll be installing the gas tank last before the body goes on.
This gas tank is in and we're almost ready to set the body on for the last time.
This body is put on the lift and the chassis is rolled under it.
As the body comes down, the shifter pokes through the hole in the body.
It takes the whole crew to do this. We need to be careful to line everything up as the body comes down.
Down on the chassis now, the car is moved off of the rack.
The dash is painted after making the holes for the gauges and the oval A/C vents.
Here's what it'll look like once installed.
The remote stereo is mounted on a board and attached to the inner structure of the body.
One of the speakers is installed.
The wiring is being routed under the dash.
The grille shell is on.
The radiator hoses are on and we're finishing up the rest of the plumbing and wiring.
The Optima battery and disconnect switch are located behind the seat and wired in.
The chrome steering column is in.
The A/C lines are run.
The Vintage Air unit is in and the hoses are being routed.
